I’m a developer evangelist for Oracle Database, specializing in making complex topics like event streaming, microservices development, and vector databases approachable through hands-on guides, presentations, or code samples. I’m always looking to demystify infrastructure and help developers build more with less.

My work explores microservices development and modern, multi-model databases. Recently, I’ve been building tools like a Prometheus-style Metrics Exporter for Oracle Database, Spring Boot integration for Database features, and developing microservices-friendly sample applications that show off the power of Oracle Database. for data streaming, AI integration, and JSON optimizing for memory safety and concurrency. I’m also developing sample applications that stream and embed news articles using AI, enabling advanced vector search capabilities.

I’m an avid backpacker, snowboarder, fisher, and lover of the outdoors. When I’m not working, I’ll be camping, hiking, or otherwise enjoying nature. Fun fact: I camp around 40-50 nights a year!

If you take away anything from this blog, it’s that you should try Oracle Database for Free, today.
